Kamilah Henderson

Kamilah’s goal is to enable individuals and families to worry less about their future and spend more time making memories in the present. Her law practice focuses on providing legacy and incapacity planning in the Dallas, Texas area. She has witnessed, firsthand, family conflict and the challenge of making financial decisions while mourning. She finds great satisfaction in helping individuals, families, and professionals design estate plans that provide peace of mind.

Kamilah worked as a healthcare professional for more than 15 years before obtaining her law degree and is a former advanced practice nurse. As a Nurse Attorney with extensive healthcare experience, Kamilah utilizes her unique perspective in counseling clients regarding incapacity planning. legal right to plan in advance and guides families on preparing a plan should a loved one become unable to make decisions for themselves. Families feel a sense of peace knowing their essential documents for making healthcare decisions such as Medical Powers of Attorney, Living Wills and HIPAA forms are prepared. She understands firsthand the importance of keeping an incapacity plan up to date.

She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, AR. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Duke University. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and is a member of the Collin County Bar, the Dallas Bar and the Texas State Bar Association. She is also a member of the Texas Bar College, an honorary society of Texas lawyers. Kamilah volunteers with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program providing pro bono wills services to income-eligible clients.

Kamilah currently lives with her husband and children in Frisco, Texas. When she is not practicing law she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
